Video Responses

1. Bill Viola - Emergence: I found this video to be quite interesting; it is not like anything I have seen before in the past. To me it seems like there is a religious aspect to this video which I thought made the video more interesting. I enjoyed the use of sound and image in this piece. 2. Bruce Nauman - Pinch Neck: I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this piece, I think because I don't really understand it or what the message is that the artist is trying portray. I thought it was interesting that the artist chose to not include sound in the piece. 3. Joan Jonas - Vertical Roll: For the most part I enjoyed Vertical Roll -- I liked the use of repetition in the piece, however I found the sound in the background was very piercing. 4. Vito Acconci - Open Book: The tone of the video was video was pretty creepy -- it was very uncomfortable to watch. This piece is a close up video of someone's mouth speaking, however I could not understand one thing that the person

VS Final

For my final video project, I will be telling a personal story. This story will be about my experience at Christmas, which is an important time for me. I will start off with myself taking the bus home to my parents, and what my night and Christmas day usually looks like with my family.
